Abstract
Carbon disulfide (CS2) ditributed in the body by the blood stream, presents free form and bound form carbon disulfide that is acid-labile carbon disulfide (ALCS2) in blood. ALCS2 could be analyzed by acid-treatment fraction which binds to celluar
macromolecules or amino acid. We observed the variation of blood concentration of carbon disulfide and the amounts of free form CS2 and ALCS2 in blood were determined according to their oral doses. After administration for six days, the amount of
free
form CS2 and ALCS2 in blood was increased significantly through duration of administration for six days. ALCS2 was remained longer than free form CS2 in blood for all doses. The amount of free form CS2 and ALCS2 in red blood cells was larger than
that
of plasma. As the above results, ALCS2 might be a useful indicator for biological monitoring of CS2 in blood.
